From what is known, the story so far goes something like this: In the year 2099 an evil scientist, Walker Sloan, travels back in time in order to change the timeline as he sees fit. Marvel veteran Peter David (co-creator of Spider-Man 2099) is currently writing the story. One of the game's main selling points is that actions taken by the Amazing Spider-man in the past will change things in the future of 2099 Spider-man, for better or for worse. Developed by Activision-owned studio Beenox, Spider-Man: Edge of Time challenges the player to take on the roles of both classic Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 to correct the timestream gone awry and prevent a catastrophic future brought on by the early death of Peter Parker. Spider-Man faces one of his greatest challenges ever: saving Spider-Man.
